LOC #100 - old fashion horror

Hello my Halloween loving friends!  It's time for another fabulous challenge over at Left of Center Challenges.  This weeks theme is old fashioned horror.

/Our sponsor for this week is A Day For Daisies.  They have a wonderful variety of images in the shop.  I have used an image I purchased a while ago that I though would be perfect for this theme.

I have used Vintage Spider Costume and colored her with pencils.  I fussy cut her out and layered on my ATC using foam tape.  Text paper is from my Halloween stash, and spider washi tape and glitter spider added for extra horror :)

I can't wait to see what wonderful horror you will share with us at LOC!

LOC #98 - monsters

It's time for another fun challenge at Left of Center Challenges!

Our amazing sponsor this week is Ike's Art.

Did you know that in addition to her fabulous shop
Ike also has a challenge blog and has an Ike's Art Fan Page on FaceBook.

For my LOC DT creation I have used Ike's "Children of the Night" and made a set of ATCs.

After printing out the images I sponged on Citrus Lime ink. I was going for the splotchy look :)
I colored in their nails with pencil and their teeth with a white gel pen. The design paper is from an older Halloween pack and I mounted that on black CS and added some washi tape to each ATC.

I thought these precious children were a perfect way to start off the month of October.

Now head on over to the LOC blog to check out what the DT has made for your viewing pleasure.  We would love to see your monster creations this week.

LOC #96 - no designer paper

Hello my crafty friends! Sorry for the late post, my internet decided to cut in and out yesterday and I hadn't set up the auto post :(  But yay it's decided to work today (knock on wood).

This week at Left of Center Challenges we  were lucky enough to have 2 sponsors,
Our challenge for you this week is to not use any designer papers.

For my project I have created a fun little ATC using A Time to Share from All Dressed Up.

I used a TH stencil and sponged my color onto the ATC and then swiped the edges on an orange inkpad.  The image I colored with pencils and fussy cut out to add to my ATC base with foam tape.

I can't wait to see what you create, join us over at LOC to see all the fabulous makes from the DT.

Girly ATC

I was checking out the Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge this week and found a new fabulous new stamp designer! You have to check out Vera Lane Studio, I couldn't resist I had to get a couple (plus there's a coupon code).  The challenge this week is Girly Stuff so I pulled out some of my more girly papers and had a blast.

This is "Bird Girl" and she comes in a 5 piece set but I've only used her for this creation.  I've colored her with pencils and layered her onto my ATC.  All papers are CTMH.

LOC # 57 - Fears

This weeks theme for the challenge over at Left of Center is 'face your fears'.  Our wonderful sponsor is Ike's Art and I've used Deamon for my project. I imagine anyone would be quite fearful if this face loomed out to you in the darkness of the night.

I've colored the deamon with pencils and then cut him out to add to my ATC.  I've used liquid glass over the eyes so they really do glow.

I was playing around in photoshop and altered my ATC and found this way to be terrifying as well.

Yikes!  Please join us over at LOC and show us your fear creations or any of your LOC projects :)

I am also sharing my Left of Center Challenges DT project today. Our sponsor over at LOC this week is Ike's Art and I've used Pumpkin Fairy to create my journal page. I colored her with pencils and added glitter to her wings. The background was created with gesso and green spray. I just kept adding a little of each and mixing it over the page until I was happy with the color and texture.  The bats are from an older CTMH set.

LOC and PYG Challenges

Hello wonderful people! It's time for a couple fun challenges. This week I'm sharing 2 of my DT makes. The first one is for Left of Center Challenges, the theme is favorite movie.  One of our wonderful sponsors for this challenge is The Stamping Chef.  I chose Jolene to play with. Can anyone guess my movie?  After this movie I know I had several sweatshirts that I cut so I could have it off the shoulder :)

We do have a second sponsor for this week so head on over to the blog to check out what the DT created with images from Ikes Art.

My second make for the week is for the "steamy/sexy" challenge over at PunkYouGirl Challenges. The sponsor is Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps.  I chose Wind Swept to play with, isn't she a sexy one!  I made an ATC for this one and you can't really tell in the pic but I added some glitter to her little fish net undies. If I had a body like that I'd probably have those same undies!

So what are you waiting for, head on over to Left of Center and PunkYouGirl to join in some great challenges and check out the awesome sponsors!

LOC #29 - Anything Goes - Dark Themed

Hello my crafty friends! It's time for a new challenge at Left of Center Challenges, the theme this time around is 'Anything Goes' however it must be dark. I have made an ATC with this lovely back-bend toxic ballerina from Smeared Ink.

I have colored her with pencils and cut her out and attached with foam tape to my ATC base. I made the flower from old book pages and then spritzed with a couple different shades of glimmer mist. I attached a skull bead to a hat pin so it could pierce my dancers heart.  I'd say that qualifies as dark :)
For some reason as I was coloring my ballerina it reminded me of a book I read last year, Swan Song. There was no ballerina so it must be the face mask that set my mind a wandering as I colored. The story is similar to The Stand by Stephen King so if you liked that one you'll get drawn into this one too.
Now head on over to Left of Center Challenges and let your dark side loose and create some spectacular and share it with us at Left of Center

31 Days of Halloween - Day 14

Yay, for a 3 day weekend! I'm lucky enough to have the day off on this 14th day of the Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop.  Just a reminder you can find the rules the hints and the previous days winners over on Terra's blog.

I've made an ACT today using an image from Wonderstrange Arts. You can find this skellie dude right here. I colored him with pencils, cut him out and used some foam tape to add him to the ATC. I have a black CS base then white CS that I embossed and went over with an ink pad and the swirl is from MFT. (I'm too tired to go digging thru my embossing folders at the moment, but I'll update later with the pattern)

Thanks for stopping by!
Next stop is Trisha   complete blog list is to the left in case you get lost.

Things with Wings

This weeks theme over at Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenges was Things with Wings. Lately I've been drawn to all the butterfly cards as I check out crafters blogs, so I thought I'd dig out one of my hardly used butterfly stamps and join in the butterfly craze.

My stamp is from Inkadinkado. I stamped in cocoa ink on kraft SC and colored with pencils. I really like how the oranges and yellows look on the kraft colored paper. Then I cut it out and layered on more kraft paper that I dotted with some metallic sharpies and layered that on some cocoa CS.  The butterfly is popped off the ATC with foam tape.

Celebrate the Season

This week over at Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge the theme for challenge #71 is Celebrate the Season.  I've used this fab image from The Octopode Factory, I picked it up from her freebies last year and finally got around to using it.

I started with a black CS base and drew some swirls with a white gel pen.   I colored the potion with pencils and then added some more swirls with my gel pen. I cut it out and used foam tape to pop it up off the base. I cut the sentiment which also came with the image and attached it to the side like a tab slightly off the edge.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone's 2013 has started just wonderfully! I've enjoyed having some time off of work but tomorrow it's back to the grind. One of my resolutions is to take (make) more time for the things I like to do.  One of which is stamping of course!  So I've started off the new year right on track by playing with one of my new images I recently purchased and made an ATC. This adorable little skull is from Dilly Beans, isn't she fab?!

I've colored her with pencils and layered on kraft CS then on brown CS.  Added a little bit of bling and voila!

I would like to enter my ATC into the following challenges:
