LOC challenge #6

It's time for a new challenge over at Left of Center Challenges. This weeks theme is red & black and our sponsor is LEJ Designs.  I've used the lovely Desire digi stamp that can be found in the Halloween section of the LEJ Designs online store.

I've colored her with pencils and sponged around the edge. Then I spritzed some glimmer mist to give her some sparkle.

Make sure to head over to the Left of Center Challenges Blog to join in the fun!

LOC Challenge #5

Hello my crafty friends! It's time for a new challenge over at Left of Center Challenges, this weeks theme is to use a digi image. How easy is that?!?  Our sponsor this week is Delicious Doodles and I was so excited to pic out one of her images to play with.

This is Steampunk Sally, isn't she gorgeous?!? I found some really cool paper last week at Hobby Lobby and I just knew it would be perfect with this image.  I colored her with pencils using mostly brown tones with a splash of teal and reddish brown for her hair.

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will play with us over at Left of Center Challenges this week!

Things with Wings

This weeks theme over at Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenges was Things with Wings. Lately I've been drawn to all the butterfly cards as I check out crafters blogs, so I thought I'd dig out one of my hardly used butterfly stamps and join in the butterfly craze.

My stamp is from Inkadinkado. I stamped in cocoa ink on kraft SC and colored with pencils. I really like how the oranges and yellows look on the kraft colored paper. Then I cut it out and layered on more kraft paper that I dotted with some metallic sharpies and layered that on some cocoa CS.  The butterfly is popped off the ATC with foam tape.

LOC Challenge #4

Hello Friends,

It's time for another fun challenge over at Left of Center Challenges.  This weeks sponsor is Lacy Sunshine. Somehow before this challenge I'd never heard of her or been by her shop, WHAT?!?! I had fun looking through and chose this fab image to play with Buggz and Lil Voodoo Bunny.

You have to stop by her shop to see what a wonderful selection of images she has.  I colored her with pencils and decided to create a journal page with her.  I used watercolor crayons to create  the background, then used a background stamp from Smeared Ink. Cut my lovely voodoo gal out and glued her onto the page. I spritzed some glimmer mist and wrote BAD onto the page. I love how the colors turned out. Of course the pic doesn't do it justice, I will have to try to snap a pic in the bright morning sun so ya'll get the full effect.
Head on over to Left of Center to join in the fun. If you like creating out of the norm then the challenge theme will always be anything goes. If you are more of a mainstream stamper you can still join the fun but you'll have to follow the theme. This week theme is to "bling it up".

LOC - challenge #3

Welcome back to another fun challenge over at Left of Center Challenges.  Our sponsor for this round is Rick St. Dennis. I have a few of his images in my collection and I've chosen to use Night Flyer the Succubus.
I've colored her with pencils and fussy cut her out. Isn't she wicked hot?! I layered her on CS and my fave polka dot paper and added some bling.
If you join our challenge over at Left of Center and like to create projects that can be classified as steampunk, goth, punk, dark, horror, Halloween, anime or just plain creepy then the theme is always anything goes.  If you are more of a mainstream stamper we'd still love to have you join us you just need to follow the current theme.  This fortnights theme is fairly easy -  Ribbon and/or Twine. So what are you waiting for?! Head on over to Left of Center and join in the fun!

LOC - challenge #2

Welcome back for another fun challenge over at Left of Center Challenges.  This week's theme is Punch It Out - border or other punch if you are more of a mainstream stamper.  Or if you are a risk taker and like to create things out of the norm the theme is always anything goes.
Our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Designs. I got to work with this fabulous image called Ursula Pinup. I colored her with pencils and cut her out. On my journal page I used water color crayons for the background then used two stamps I had won a while back that look like bubbles. I added a strand of green sequins down the side and included a few lines of the song that Ursula sings in little mermaid.
I hope you will be able to join us at Left of Center Challenges this week.

Art Journal

Happy St. Patrick's Day.   It was a lazy day here so I thought I'd do some crafting.  This lovely image is from  Ike's Art. She was a freebie last year and I've finally gotten to use her.

I colored her with pencils and then cut her out.  My journal page is done with water color crayons - love them! I scribbled my colors down then I just used my finger and some water to blend everything until I was happy with it. I got a little too carried away with the drips and ended up dripping all over my clean dishes in the dish drainer....doh! I couldn't help but add the saucy little sentiment to go with this gal :)

LOC Challenge #1

Hello Friends!

I'm excited to be part of a brand new challenge blog called Left of Center Creative Challenges. This will be a bi-weekly challenge blog that allows/encourages all things Left of Center- Steampunk, Goth, Halloween (year-round), dark, spooky, creepy, anime, edgy, mythical (fairy tale,  mermaids, dragons, fairy, literary characters, fan art),  and horror, as well as regular mainstream crafters.

Each Challenge will have a theme, and as long as you project fits into one of the above Left of Center categories, you can follow it or not.  If you are more of a mainstream crafter, you must follow the Challenge theme.  It's a win-win for all!

This weeks theme is buttons and/or bows. Our fabulous sponsor this week is Floppy Latte Digital Designs and I was able to play with Guarding the Egg.  I colored her with pencils and then cut her out to place in my art journal.  My background was created with watercolor crayons.  I love how it turned out!  Then I stamped some little circles down the side, attached my dragon with her egg (that I added some glitter to) and some gems at the top of the page in a couple of the circles I had stamped. I used a metallic sharpie to add my sentiment, not so happy with how that part turned out so may try to figure out something to add at a later date.... maybe a cloud :)

We would love to have you join in our challenge and tell your friends too!

Celebrate the Season

This week over at Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge the theme for challenge #71 is Celebrate the Season.  I've used this fab image from The Octopode Factory, I picked it up from her freebies last year and finally got around to using it.

I started with a black CS base and drew some swirls with a white gel pen.   I colored the potion with pencils and then added some more swirls with my gel pen. I cut it out and used foam tape to pop it up off the base. I cut the sentiment which also came with the image and attached it to the side like a tab slightly off the edge.

Thanks for stopping by!

Freaky Friday Challenge #61

It's time for more freaky fun over at Forever Night Creepy Challenges! This weeks challenge is 3-2-1.  We are asking that you use 3 embellishments, 2 images and 1 sentiment.

Our sponsor this week is Delicious Doodles and we had some wonderful images to play with.  I chose to use this Goth Guy, isn't he fangtabulous! My 3 embellishments are the 3 little black gems to the right of the image. My 2 images are the goth guy and that smudge stamp I used on the base CS. And my 1 sentiment is "believe".
The DT has some awesome samples for you to check out so head on over to our blog to join in on the fun this week. I can't wait to see what you create!

Forever Night Creepy Challenge #59

Hello Friends!
Forever Night Creepy Challenges has their first challenge for the new year happening right now.  The theme this week is Inspiration from a Horror Movie / Anything Goes.  Our fabulous sponsor for this week is Limited Runs Digital Stamps. I chose to work with this darling little gal Madison & Hatchet.

I've colored her with pencils and added some blood to her dress and hatchet.

For the base card I took a red ink pad and did the DTP (direct to paper) technique to give the look of blood being wiped across it.

Forever Night Creepy Challenges has a new challenge every Friday and we've got amazing sponsors set up for 2013 so I hope you will stop by and play with us.

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone's 2013 has started just wonderfully! I've enjoyed having some time off of work but tomorrow it's back to the grind. One of my resolutions is to take (make) more time for the things I like to do.  One of which is stamping of course!  So I've started off the new year right on track by playing with one of my new images I recently purchased and made an ATC. This adorable little skull is from Dilly Beans, isn't she fab?!

I've colored her with pencils and layered on kraft CS then on brown CS.  Added a little bit of bling and voila!

I would like to enter my ATC into the following challenges:

Welcome to the final day of the Creepmas Hop Smeared & Smudged style. Thank you for all the comments you've left along the way, I truly appreciate you taking the time to comment :)  I hope you have enjoyed visiting all the blogs along the way, there have been so many amazing projects.
For the last day of the hop it's another Smeared Ink day!  I've printed out so many images during the hop and have changed my mind so many times on what I want to post that I already have a jump on next years hop :)
For today tho I have used Tease from the Zombies Pin Up set.

She's ready to meet Mr. Right under the mistletoe. I've colored her with pencils and wrote the sentiment with gel pen.

Wishing you all a very Merry Creepmas and Creeptastic New Year!

12 Days of Creepmas - Day 11

We are getting closer to the final day of Creepmas Smeared & Smudged Style :(  I must say I will be sad as participating in a hop really makes me get off my duff and create.  For today's project I have made another lil fat page.

I have used this lil grumpie from Smeared Ink. He's not too happy because someone put glitter in his hair and on his toes.

Next stop on the jolly hop is Susan S.

12 Days of Creepmas - Day 10

It's already day 10 of the Creepmas hop Smeared & Smudged style.  For today I have a simple tag.

The image is from Josie from Simply B Stamps. I've colored her with pencils. I wanted to use more browns and greens than the traditional Christmas colors and I really liked how she turned out until I tried to coordinate her with the papers I have on hand. Bummer, couldn't find anything I really really loved so I settled on a kraft tag and stamps some dark green snowflakes.
Sorry about the bad photo too, we had a storm roll in last night and I'm stuck with clouds this morning :(  boo.

Don't forget to hop on over to visit Susan S.

I've got a real quick post for you today as I've got so much to do and not enough time to do it.  It's a Smeared Ink day of the hop which means you will be seeing a lot of images from Smeared Ink.  I've used this lovely skull from the Quoth the Raven Set.  I actually have a rubber set from when they first came out.  This set is now in digi format, however Smeared Ink just started a Rubber Club so you might want to check that out.

Happy hopping! Next stop is Susan S.

12 Days of Creepmas - Day 6

Welcome back to the Smeared a & Smudged 12 Days of Creepmas Hop. For all the details on the hop visit the S & S blog, there is a complete list of Jolly Bloggers there as well as on my side bar, just in case you get lost along the way.
For today's project I have made another fat page (love this size).  I've used a Smeared Ink stamp called Riding Hood. I got her a while back for participating in a challenge so I don't think she's in the store currently but I could be wrong. There's another good reason to join in the fun every month at the S & S forum - you get an image just for playing!
Anywho, back to my project. Red know's how difficult Creepmas shopping can be, sometimes it's hard to figure out the perfect gift for that special someone. So she's opened up shop and is offering fabulous gifts at fairly decent prices.  Check out what's on sale today........

I hope you are remembering to leave some love along all the stops on the hop. I'd hate to send Red after you.  Next stop is Susan S. hop on over and see what Creep-masy goodness she has to share with  you today

12 Days of Creepmas Day 5

Hello Friends!
It's another fabulously creepy day on the 12 Days of Creepmas with Smeared & Smudged. For day 5 I have used this handsome yet creepy image of Poe from Ike's Art.
This is a fat book page which are sized as 4" x 4" little works of art.  I'm getting quite the collection of these fat pages and have to make a cover for my book one of these days :)  I've colored Poe with pencils and then stamped some snowflakes and the sentiment. I had to add a creepy glitter spider for some bling :)

Thanks for stopping by, the next stop on the hop is Susan S.

I would also like to enter this into the following challenges:

12 Days of Creepmas Day 4

Good Morning Friends! This will be a quick post since I'm running late for work this morning :)
My first project is an ATC for the 12 Days of Creepmas Hop with Smeared and Smudged. I've used this lovely sugar plum fairy from Smeared Ink.
She was crying out for lots of sparkle so I've added lots of glitter to her dress.

My second project is my DT card for Forever Night Challenge # 57 this week. Our sponsor is the fabulous Sassy Studio Designs, the theme is add lace/anything goes.
I didn't have any lace in my stash but I thought the background paper looked rather lacey :)  I hope you find the time to join us at Forever Night Challenges this week.

Next stop for the Creepmas hop is Susan.

12 Days of Creepmas - Day 3

Welcome back to day 3 of the Creepfest! Visit the Smeared & Smudged blog for all the deets.  Today I made a tag in Christmas colors :)

The skeleton butterfly image is from Paula Best.  I've embossed the background and used direct to paper technique to ink it up in lovely green.  The black swirl is a die cut from MFT.  I'm still deciding on the ribbon or fibers to add.... might need to make a run to the craft store for the perfect one :)
Next stop on the hop is Susan.  If you get lost along the way all the blogs are listed on my sidebar.

Freaky Friday (a few days late)

Hello Friends!
This week's challenge over at Forever Night Challenges is anything goes.  Our sponsor is Limited Runs and I was able to play with this wonderful image of Igor.  The winner this week will be able to choose 3 digis from the Limited Runs store, how cool is that!

I started with black CS then layers a piece of glossy CS that I had done the waxed paper technique.  I figured it gave it a dungeon or bell tower texture :) Then I colored and fussy cut Igor, and I colored and cut his handsome face a second time.  I popped each image with foam tape for dimension.
Now hurry on over to Forever Night Challenges to join in the fun!

PS Limited Runs has a cute Chirstmas ornament freebie from last Friday too, so go over and check that out.

Freak Friday Challenge

Today begins a new challenge over at Forever Night Challenges.  This weeks theme is to use orange, black and grey / anything goes.

I started with a black CS base for my ATC. Then I used my cuttle bug to emboss this awesoem bingo card background and used the direct to paper technique with my orange stamp pad.  I sponged over with grey ink so the white wouldn't appear so stark.  Then I stamped the crow and candlestick (CTMH)  in grey on another piece of whtie CS and fussy cut out and mounted onto the ATC with foam tape.
Now get on over to Forever Night Challenges to enter this weeks challenge, we are being sponsored this week from Meljens and the winner this week will get 3 of her images!

I went with purple and gery tones mostly for this one.  My metallic elements include the gems on the bottom - I know it's a stretch but they look like they have a shiney metallic finish :) and I've also used a metallic sharpie for some of the dots in the sky.
Please head on over to the challenge blog to see even more samples from the DT and to enter our weekly challenge.

QKDs 13 Days of Halloween Blog Hop Day 10

Welcome back! Todays theme for the QKD Blog Hop is Labels.  I've chosen this fab Elixir label. I stamped in cocoa ink on kraft paper, then cut out.  I mounted onto black CS and cut that out to shape also.  The testure paper may look familiar, I used it a couple of days ago on an ATC.  I mounted that onto black CS also and then onto the kraft CS base.

I added a shimmery brown ribbon and a pin I made with beads from my stash.   Please make sure to visit all the blogs on the hop and leave everyone a bit of love, we all appreciate comments.
This is the last day I'm participating in the QKD Blog Hop and I've had a blast. I hope you've enjoyed visiting my blog and come back to see me in the future. There are still a few days left of the hop so make sure to visit the QKD Blog everyday for the hop list.

Welcome to Day 7 of the QKD Halloween Blog Hop.  Today's theme is flowers.  I've used this lovely image from Monica N Galvan's Visions Collection called Masquerade Fairy, you can find her at the QKD Store.

I've colored her with pencils and added a little bit of everything else.  I made the flowers from patterned paper and a die from MFT.  I used black glitter glue in each of the flowers and regular glitter glue on her wings. Also some gel pen on her mask and trim of her dress.  The background was spritzed with purple glimmer mist and the flowers with white glimmer mist.  I made the stick pin with beads from my stash.  I had a lot of fun with this creation.

Little Miss Muffet Challenges #45

Hello and welcome to my blog.  If you are looking for Day 4 of the QKD hop please go here.  If you are looking for the Little Miss Muffet Challenge you are in the correct spot. I was lucky enough to be asked to join in the LMM challenge after winning some stamps just because I have their blinkie on my blog, how awesome is that?!
So their Challenge #45 is Simplicity, something that I'm REALLY good at, lol.

I've used Celeste Amberglow Owl Always Love You from their Honeycloud Teens collection.  Isnt' she adorable? I've colored her with pencils using mostly browns and greens and popped her off my kraft CS base with some foam tape. Add a green ribbon and voila, simple and cute!
Thanks for stopping by and make sure to visit the Little Miss Muffet Challenge Blog to enter this challenge and see the DT's most amazing samples.
