SCF color challenge

Here are a couple of cards from the color challenge over on SCF. The first one was the use of white space so kept it real simple with the small flower in the middle. This weeks challenge was black & white, I also included some cranberry red for a dash of color :)

Here's the card I did for last weeks sketch challenge over at PCP. Never got around to posting it... now to work on this weeks.

sol 6.11.09

Here's my take on the SOL challenge over at PCP. Made the flower by following a technique I found on http://inkysmiles.blogspot.com/ . I love looking at all of Erin's creations so you should go check it out. The flowers she calls faux-crylix. Basically you stamp your flower on BT and emboss with clear powder and then curl the petals... way fun! I'll be making more of these!!

Created this card for the stamp-on-line challenge for June 4th over on paper craft planet. Added challenge was to use green and purple.

rolodex challenge

Here's my first ever rolodex card :) I'm on the design team over at Scrapbooking and Crafting Friends for the ATC and Rolodex group. There is a new challenge (http://scrapbookingcraftingfriends.ning.com/group/rolodexatcteamandfriends/forum/topics/2nd-project-for-team-friends) on the way so I hope to see some of you over there... make sure to say hi!
The stamp set I used is one of my old ones from CTMH called Sunflower Garden, the colors I used are Sunflower (of course), Autumn Terracotta, Olive, Chocolate, Goldrush and blue for the sky which you can't really see in the picture. I also popped each layer of the flower to give the card some dimension.

Memorial Day

I made this card using the Saturday sketch from PCP. Because it's Memorial Day I decided to go with a patriotic theme :) I was hoping to join the cards for heros blog hop, but as usual I'm running behnid due to my hectic schedule.
I do plan on using this card for the 25 + 2 so I'm excited to get to work on those. Check out the website, it's definately worth your time!! http://cardsforheroes.org/bloghop

thank you card

This was the thank you card I made for the little guy to give to his teacher for the end of the school year. Colors are cranberry, goldrush and outdoor denim.

freaky friday challenge

The rules for this weeks challenge was to use tissue or toilet paper. So I crumpled some t.p. up to add some color to my base card. The square behind the flower, the leaves on the flower and the center of the flower is all toilet paper. Let me tell you, this is difficult trying not to rip the paper and somehow get it adhered to your card. Can't wait for next weeks challenge!

layouts

Here's the one layout I completed this weekend for National Scrapbooking day :) The top Picture will go on the left side and the open space is for journaling. I still might add some embellishments, I'll have to see after the journaling is done. The papers are from the new Summer Idea Book. They worked perfectly with my pics from a trip up to Pinetop.

card challenge (some new stamp sets)

These are for the card challenge this week over at PCP. The new summer Idea Book for CTMH just went live on May 1st so I decided to use some of my new sets. The top card uses C368 Treetops, just couldn't resist all the cute trees in this set, and the Back Country paper pack.
For the second card I used paper from the Bella paper pack and "thanks" is from the new Thank You set D361 (great set of 19 stamps). The flowers you may recognize from my last post, they are from the Aspiration C1340 set from the Spring Idea Book.
Had fun following this template, althought it did take me a while to decide on the size of the card and the circle. Really bummed now that I'm using my coluzzle more that they are no longer going to sell it :(

thank you card

Used the Unforgettable paper pack and Aspiration and Kanji Phrases stamp sets from CTMH. Second generation flowers using sorbet and tulip and outlined in cocoa. DTP with desert sand around the edges. Really liked how this one turned out, the colors were way better in person.

cinema challenge

Started this card for the cinema challenge several weeks ago and just finished yesterday. I've been way too busy lately. The theme was Lion King so you have to take something from the movie and translate it into a card. Way fun, might attempt to do the next one on time :) This group is another one from Paper Craft Planet. This weeks is Mary Poppins....hmmmm do I have any umbrella stamps???

card challenge

Here's my entry for yesterdays card sketch challenge over at PCP. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do with this sketch. Here's a tip for you... dont work in the dark, this morning when I woke up to take the pic the paper behind the phrase was magenta! Had to redo in cranberry to match the flower I inked up :)

sympathy card

All CTMH products, I forget the name of the paper pack but main color is twilight. Sponged color onto the paper flowers to match them up.

card challenge

Here's my latest card challenge. Went outside my comfort zone with this one. The colors look way better in person. I used honey, cranberry, indian corn blue, black and grey flannel. All products are CTMH. The stamp set is a future SOTM, ummm for July I think. The punch is an old one that CTMH sold. Might have to redo this one. :)

card challenge

Had fun working on the sketch for this week on Paper Craft Planet. The first card turned out a little "busier" than I had planned. I used 4 different texture papers to weave. I layered the butterflies and folded the wings for dimension. The second card I like better. I used 2 main colors, watermelon and citrus leaf. Found some bigger butterflies to use. Then I remembered I had to do a b-day card so used same colors from second card, but instead of weaving I stamped and cut out a texture stamp. I'm loving these challenges! My next challenge should be to actually clean up my stamp table :)
