Teacher Gifts
Here's the teacher gifts Jake and I worked on. Got the idea from my Paper Crafts magazine last year, too cute. We painted the pots a school bus yellow color, added ribbon and made a sign attached to a pencil to stick in. You can't see it too well in this photo, but I stamped Thank You and then wrote - for helping me grow this year. Jake picked out the plants, both mint. They smeled so yummy in my kitchen that I think Jake and I will have to go decorate a couple flower pots this summer and get our own mint plants.

The sentiment is from the May SOTM, are you noticing a trend here? I used desert sand cs as the base, the b&t paper is from Majestic Blue paper pack. Ribbon is from the outdoor denim collection and the textured cs is also outdoor denim. I used sand paper to distress both the textured outdoor denim cs and the desert sand cs. The words are stamped in outdoor denim ink on colonial white cs. ~moi

Bu-bye stitches
You all will be amazed at how calm my little man was getting his stitches out. Not a peep. The nurse was sooo impressed and said she never had a kid that stayed so still. The nurse asked him if he wanted to keep the stitches but he said no. I guess I could have added them to a scrapbook page, but never imagined putting the real stitches on so I'm kinda glad he said no. But I do have a great idea of maybe using some blue waxy flax to add real stitches to the page. :)
He wanted to know if it was ok to run around the playground again.... ug, I told him to still not go too crazy until it's completely grown back together. When the stitches were out and we were waiting for the nurse to bring in a sticker for him he asked if it looked like the guy in the movie I Am Legend. I had no clue as to what he was talking about and he had to explain that after the guy was stabbed in the leg and sewn up. LOL I said i didn't remember that part so as soon as we got home he had to check it out in the mirror and he said that it did look like his wound. I think he's referring to where you can still see where the stitches were. Leave it to him to relate his injuries to the movies.

My new blog
Good Morning!
I've decided to bite the bullet and start my very own blog. I love to create but have gotten into more of a "collector" mode than actually using all my many supplies that I just had to have. I'm using my blog as a form of self encouragement to get my stuff done and out there for others to enjoy. Now I'm off to take some pictures and to start creating!
