Wanted to play a bit so made a couple ATC's. Just got the ironwork texture stamp and the skull at the rubber stamp show last month and have been wanting to try them out. I used my glaze pens on the skull but you can't see it too well in the picture. The other 2 Halloween stamps are retired from CTMH.

my karate kid
After a match of high-stakes bribery I convinced my child that he should take karate classes. I had to remind him how he never wanted to do the swim classes and now he loves swim. Well let me tell you after the first class he loved it! Now we are 4 weeks in and he wantes me to help him practice practically every night. We had class last night and I'll try to put up an action photo soon.

quick card
OK, maybe it wasn't so quick since it also involved a trip to the scrapbook store. You would think that somewhere in my vast collection of goodies I would have something related to wedding or brides, but no such luck. Absolutely adored the paper when I saw it. I still have a big chunk left for the next shower I'm invited to :)

techniques 21 & 24
Here's 2 more fun techniques. The first one uses glaze pen, transparencies and paint. The second is paint stamping with things found around the house. I used a cardboard tube, the top of a dry wall screw and a lego. I had to promise my son that his legos would not be ruined if I used them with paint... finally he agreed to let me use them :)

my dolphin
Can't believe that I don't have a picture to go with this...but my all star swimmer has been moved on to the dolphin class. Only 4 lessons at the bluegill level. It probable was due to the fact that the other 2 kids never showed up for class so he got private lessons at the regular class price for me...woohoo! Will definately be taking pictures the next class!

friend's b-day
Got some crafting done the other night. Made card and photo album gifts for a friend at work. They have these great little albums at Target. They have covers that are different colors, but you can also slide these covers out to decorate however you like! Forgot to take pictures of the backs but used coordinating paper. Way fun and didn't take too much time. I'm gonna have to stock up on these albums. Not too happy with the card, but I did that last so my creative juices were all used up. Got lots more b-days coming up so I'll have more art/gifts to post soon!

vacation pics
Here are some pictures from our trip to the White Mountains. The first one is in the woods behind the cabin where we stayed. Yes my son is holding a plunger...that was in case we ran into any bears he was going to protect us with that :) The next is Jacob at Hawley Lake. He wasn't in the mood for pictures this day, you may be able to tell from the smirk on his face. Next is a couple of squirrels that were keeping an eye on us. There are 3 in the photo...can you find them? The last pic is also Hawley Lake...what can I say...it's beautiful!

total slacker
That's what I am. So much to do and I always seem to run short on time. Still working on my techniques and some other miscellaneous crafty stuff. Getting ready to go on vacation, wanting to clean up the house before I go, still in process of re-organizing my life. *sigh* If anyone knows where I can purchase some more time let me know. ~moi

techniques 1 thru 3
Here are the first 3 techniques from the BPS online class Im' taking. It's sooo much fun, but I'm already behind. It's been just too hot here to do anything after I get home from work. I'm hoping to catch up some on this 3 day weekend.
The top card is clear embossing with acrlic paint. The second is a mosaic using scraps. I have lots of those that I can't seem to throw away so I'm sure I'll be using this technique quite a bit. The third is using flowers from B&T paper, you cut them out and curl to make 3-d elements. Way cute! Why didn't I ever think of that before.

Here's a card I made for a friend. She needed a b-day card for her sister and she said the theme was diva and the colors silver, fuchsia and black. I did buy the polka dot paper, a silver pen and the silver base card but I already had the solid card stock, ribbon, staples and do-dahs. I think it turned out pretty cute :)

my project
I've signed up for a class with Big Picture Scrapbooking called 52 card pick up. I'm so excited to play and learn. Here is my cover for the technique book we will be making. For some reason the photo's I've been taking recently look blurry I'll try and get this one replaced with a better one. It looks much nicer in person.
cards cards cards
It's been awhile since my last post. I'm not sure where the time is flying to. I've been trying to get organized (ha) which is a challenge for me. Here are a few cards I've made since my last post.
I'm noticing that they are all looking rather similar. I'm going to have to start thinking more creatively so hopefully my next card will look different. Give me a few days to come up with something :)

Teacher Gifts
Here's the teacher gifts Jake and I worked on. Got the idea from my Paper Crafts magazine last year, too cute. We painted the pots a school bus yellow color, added ribbon and made a sign attached to a pencil to stick in. You can't see it too well in this photo, but I stamped Thank You and then wrote - for helping me grow this year. Jake picked out the plants, both mint. They smeled so yummy in my kitchen that I think Jake and I will have to go decorate a couple flower pots this summer and get our own mint plants.
