31 Days of Halloween - Day 17

Welcome back friends! Just in case you stumbled across my blog and are wondering what all the hoopla is about the Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop, you can head on over to Terra's blog to check out all the deets and see what awesome sponsors are taking part in this years hop.

I've seen so many inspiring fat pages on this hop I decided to make one for my own collection.

I started with a black CS base and my image is from Wonderstrange. I colored with pencils and lots of glitter. In fact I'm still waiting for those eyes to dry but I had to get my pic done so I could go to bed :)  I also added some white dots down the side with a gel pen.

Now go see what Anna has created for today.

Friday the 13th Wicked Blog Hop

Welcome to Forever Nights Wicked Blog Hop. You should have arrived here from Amie's blog, if not head back to the Forever Night Challenges Blog to see the full blog hop list and all the details.
This weeks Challenge is full of super wicked fun for all of us at Forever Night Challenges.
All of the Night Crew members have designed projects using Smeared Ink digital stamps.

For my card I selected the lovely Calaveras Bride. I colored her with pencils and added some black glitter for her eyes, nose and cheek and then put some liquid glass over the roses. To finish it off I added some black hemp and red beads.

Your next stop on the hop is Abbie and don't forget to submit a wicked creation of your own for a chance to win some great prizes from our sponsors!

Sweet Fairy

Here's a sweet little card I made for the Twisted Thursday challenge over on The Outlawz. This week's theme is "anything goes with a touch of green". We are also only supposed to use 50% alcohol inks on our image.

The image is Woodland Fairy a freebie from Beccy's Place. Isn't she adorable!? I colored her skin with my copic and her dress, wings and hair with colored pencils. I've also added some green glitter glue to her waistband and stardust glitter glue to her wings.

Freaky Friday Cahllenges #28

Welcome back friends, it's time for another wonderful challenge over at Forever Night Challenges. This weeks theme is "anything goes - but keep it dark" and our sponsor is Stitchy Bear! I got to work with this lovely image called Flight of Fantasy.
Isn't she lovely? First I colored her with pencils sticking with pinks, blues and purples. I really need to get more markers because I think she'd be even more stunning colored more brightly. Then a little bit of glitter glue to make her wings sparkle. Then I added liquid glass to all the swirls, I wanted to give it a type of stained glass look. Then I figured heck why not add liquid glass to the entire fairy. Here's a better shot to see the shine on the liquid glass.

You have to be careful because when you use a lot if it the paper has a tendancy to curl up a bit. Then I cut her out and mounted on pink CS then onto black CS. It was still missing something so I tried ribbon and rhinestones but that didn't work for me so I went with some glitter glue around the pink CS.
Go check out the blog to see the wonderful art from the other gals on the DT, there is a varietly of images at Stitchy Bear too so make sure to check them out!

Bloody Valentine Hop Day 2

Welcome to day 2 of the Smeared & Smudged Bloody Valentine Hop. For today's project I've used a couple Smeared Ink images and created a fat page. Did you know that Smeared Ink also has a challenge blog with weekly challenges posted every Monday? This weeks theme is anything goes so I'll be adding this little delightful goodie into the mix. There is still time to join this week but you've got to be quick about it. After you make your way thru the hop hurry on over and join in the fun. The background is a digi I printed onto kraft paper and mounted onto black CS. The sentiment I wrote on scraps of the kraft paper then layered them on some more scrap paper and glued them onto the background. The heart is from my favorite set Quoth The Raven, I stamped onto white CS then sponged some color onto it. I cut the heart out and used foam dots to pop it off the page. Then I went a little crazy with the bronze glitter glue. I'm thinking I should have been a wee bit more careful when adding glitter to the heart but I'm still happy with how it turned out.

Please visit my sidebar for a complete list of the bloody blogs to visit and dont forget to leave them all a bit-o-love.

Gingerbread Birdhouse

Here's a fun project for the 12 Days of Christmas Simply Betty Style. The challenge was to make a gingerbread house in a spooky Christmas style. I painted the birdhouse in a brown similar to gigerbread (I think so at least) stamped directly on the house, added some puff paint and glitter glue along with my sparkly spider :) Make sure to stop by the Simply Betty blog to get in on the next challenge! http://simplybettystamps.blogspot.com/
