This month over in the Smeared and Smudged forum for the Rock-N-Rolla challenge one of the videos we could choose from was "Vermillion Pt 1" by Slipknot. There is a ton of inspiration in this video! I started with a black card base (night and people in the shadows) added some blue and white texture paper (ocean and sky) then some orange texture paper (brick wall and colors from train station) added my girl from Sweet Pea Stamps and she already had a butterfly with her (another element from the video) I colored her with pencils and stamped a second butterfly and curled the wings to place over the original butterfly for depth, which you can't tell here but is cool in person :) Added grey around the eyes so she'd look washed out and tired like tha gal in the video. I really like how this turned out, watch the video and tell me what you think :)

Here's the one and only Thanksgiving Day card I made this year. I always have such grand plans that never seem to pan out. I'm working on changing that so check back soon for more cards and even some Christmas stuff :) All products used on this card are from CTMH, I think the stamp set is one that has been retired a while though.

October is such a busy month for me I didn't get to do all the things I wanted to do for Halloween. Here's a few that I did work on.
First is a rolodex card, I used acrylic paint to make the background. It turned out to look like bricks to me which I think is way cool and was just a happy accident :) The stamped images are from CTMH, love them!
Second is a skull I picked up at Michaels. First I painted it all white then added my images. The bats and the words I was able to stamp directly on the skull, the tree and fences I stamped on tissue first and then glued them on. I also sponged it with blue on the bottom and blended into purple at the top. Not exactly how I anticipated it would end up, but not too shabby for my first attempt.
Last is a birthday card that I actually made a while back for a friend who loves halloween but her birthday is in August. The stamps are from SU and the cool eyeball paper I picked up last year at Target when they were getting rid of the halloween stuff, it was part of a scrapbook pack. I colored the cat witch and caldron with my colored pencils.
